Napoli into Italian Cup quarter-finals after penalty shoot-out

Napoli's goalkeeper Mariano Andujar in action during Italy's Cup  Napoli beat Udinese on penalties Thursday in the closing game of the Italian Cup round of 16. In the second half Napoli converted a spot kick with Jorginho after a Thomas Heurtaux opener, and Udinese had Silvan Widmer dismissed with a second booking 22 minutes from time. Extra time saw Marek Hamsik reverse for the Naples hosts, but Panagiotis Kone levelled for 2-2 to take the game into a shoot-out that Napoli won 5-4. AC Milan v Lazio on Tuesday is the first quarter-final, followed Wednesday by Parma v Juventus. Roma v Fiorentina and Napoli v Inter Milan are set for February 3 and 4, respectively.
