Fritz Sdunek, the former coach of heavyweight world
champions Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, died on Monday of a stroke
at age 67.
The president of Germany's professional boxing federation, Thomas
Puetz, said that Sdunek died in a Hamburg hospital.
"I am shocked, the boxing world loses a big personality," Puetz said.
The former East German Sdunek was a coach of the Hamburg-based
Universum camp for many years. He coached the Klitschko brothers to
world titles as well as others including Dariusz Michalczewski and
Felix Sturm.
