WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather
renewed his call for a fight with undefeated American Floyd
Mayweather Junior.
"The ball will drop at midnight to usher in 2015. Floyd Mayweather,
let's not drop the ball on fighting each other next year!
#LetsMakeFistory," the 36-year-old Pacquiao tweeted.
The eight-division champion also challenged Mayweather not to be a
"boxing humbug" and to give the fans the fight had been waiting for
"long enough" in a tweet on December 16.
The 37-year-old Mayweather said on December 12 that he wanted the
fight to happen on May 2 but had put up other conditions for the
much-awaited bout.
Pacquiao won by unanimous decision in his last fight against Chris
Algieri on November 23, in a 12-round bout that saw the US boxer hit
the canvas six times.
